Social Media Giant Twitter Accuses Microsoft of Abusing its Data

Shots fired.

Twitter has raised a serious allegation against Microsoft, accusing it of utilizing Twitter data in unauthorized ways. Could this also be pointed at OpenAI for using Twitter data for training AI?

Historically, Microsoft used Twitter’s data in various products like Xbox, Bing, and advertising tools.

It is now accused of multiple violations including improper use of Twitter data, using more data than permitted, and sharing it with government bodies without permission.

Interestingly, in a past tweet, Elon Musk has stated, “They trained illegally using Twitter data. Lawsuit time.”

This adds fuel to the already fiery relationship between Musk and Microsoft.

What are your thoughts about Twitter’s accusations?
