Under reported news: Microsoft under Satya Nadella’s leadership has generated higher shareholder returns than Apple, Amazon, or Google.

Satya Nadella took over as Microsoft CEO in Feb 2014 when the company was on the fast track to technological irrelevance.

His leadership has not only turned around the company from a business perspective. But it has done it in a way that is not creating resentment or anxiety within the company, with its partners, or with its customers. Quite unlike some of the tech leaders we see today.

He codified his strategy and guiding principles in his book ‘Hit Refresh’. But I’m sure it must have been a hard grind for him and his leadership team to drive strategy and change across a large company.

I hope there’s another book soon that gives us a view into this epic turnaround story.
