Generative AI Performance Defies Predictions

Life is no fun for people whose work title includes the word ‘Futurist’.

Generative AI is surpassing prior predictions and expectations by miles.

For example, MGI previously identified 2027 as the earliest year when median human performance for natural language understanding might be achieved in technology.

But in this new analysis, the corresponding point is 2023. It has already been achieved.

Generative AI technology performance is now expected to match median human performance and reach top quartile human performance earlier than previously estimated across a wide range of capabilities.

These Generative AI technologies will take the drudgery out of busy work so that we can allocate time to create real value for customers and employees.
